The 7 Seals
Rev 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
One beast per horse?
Prophesy for the church age.
(We are to look in history for
the fulfilling of the four first seals.) John Wesley
* The Lamb now begins to open the seals. The inevitability of history is revealed, for all is seen to be in God’s hands. He is in control of history. But this does not mean He causes it to be. It is a man who chooses the way that he takes, with its inevitable results, but God, in the end, is the overruling force, using it for His greater purposes. The seals will follow the pattern laid down by our Lord. False Messiahs and false prophets, international wars, famine, pestilence, death, intense persecution of God’s people, earthquakes, signs in the heavens, all leading up to the Coming of Christ, and all to be experienced in these days in which His readers will live.
* The seals are opened one by one, but they are opened immediately. The events which they describe are parallel not consecutive. The false Messiahs, the great wars, the famines and pestilences, and massive slaughter (seals 1-4), together with the persecution of God’s people (seal 5) all occur contemporaneously. They present the march of world history. This has been especially the history of the world of the Near and Middle East. The sixth seal is also contemporaneous, showing a world in turmoil, although in this case taking us on to the final judgment. In one sense it is the reply to the prayers of the fifth seal. Thus the seventh seal, which results in the blowing of the seven trumpets is also contemporaneous. These describe God’s particular judgments among the world’s self-inflicted misery.
(Dr. Peter Pett)
The spirit of the seals will continue but change to different people or groups that will move on their agenda.
There have been many Anti Christ, many to take peace and kill, many who control money and cause famines, many plagues and so many martyrs for the Word of God.
Praise our LORD JESUS for giving these prophecies to John for the Church of God.
I Thank God for the many Watchman we have today that are sounding the alarm. and may the Holy Spirit give you the power of the Word of God.
Jesus the Lamb is opening the seals: He is not inside them.
Rev 6:2
And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
White-Means peace and pure.
Horses- Sign of power.
Job 39:19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
Bow- A sign that the words and/or power will be able to reach far in time and distance.
* This bow has no arrows, which means that there is no power in the words. This has to be some kind of false and/or lying figure. Just as the devil comes as an angel of light. The true Church has already started. So this has to be a worldly power that conquered with a false power just as the Roman Catholic church has done. They are a continuation of the power of Rome that turn into a false church that has continued to our time in history. They have turned the truth of Gods Word into a lie.
2Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Matt 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
For MANY shall come, not just one Anti-Christ as said in chapter 13. So, therefore, this leads us to believe that this is a problem for the church age. Not just the 7 years of tribulation that is being taught in a lot of churches today.
Crown-
Crown-
* a chaplet (as a badge of royalty, a prize in the public games or a symbol of honor generally).
* Both the ordinary priests and the high priest wore them and was worn by kings and queens.
* Garland or wreath of a conqueror, which is also implied by His white horse, white being the emblem of victory.
* All kings and queens wear them, along with the popes. All worldly powers.
This rider is conquering and to conquer-
Seal 1-
* Was open when Jesus was seen as a Lamb soon after His resurrection, the conquering has to start with the Roman empire.
"Trajan's accession to the empire seems to be the dawning of the seven seals. And a crown was given to him - This, considering his descent, Trajan could have no hope of attaining. But God gave it him by the hand of Nerva, and then the east soon felt his power. And he went forth conquering and to conquer - That is, from one victory to another. In the year 108, the already victorious Trajan went forth toward the east, to conquer not only Armenia, Assyria, and Mesopotamia, but also the countries beyond the Tigris, carrying the bounds of the Roman empire to a far greater extent than ever. We find no emperor like him for making conquests. He aimed at nothing else; he lived only to conquer. Meantime, in him was eminently fulfilled what had been prophesied of the fourth empire, Dan 2:40, 7:23, that he should "devour, tread down, and break in pieces the whole earth." John Wesley
2) When Constantine converted to Christianity in 312 A.D. The Church had peace for a short period. Then after the rein Constantine, it became a way for Rome to control the Christians. There was just to much growth, power and money. 1Thess 5:3
They developed laws for more control and it became the beast we see today. It became the law to convert or die.
So however you look at it the Romans have been conquering to conquer for a long time. The Catholic Church had this conquering attitude from the very beginning. They would even kill you if you did not go by there church laws. (Torches)

* This is a type of anti-Christ the rider on the white horse but it been going on ever since the beginning of the church age.
Daniel 2:40, Daniel 7:23 We can read about this the 4th. empire of the statue in Nebuchadnezzar's dream.
John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
